Your name is not in the room.


Decisions happen in conversations you are not part of. Someone mentions a name, others nod. The shortlist takes shape before you ever hear there was a list.


If your name did not come up, chances are it is already too late. You did not lose the opportunity because someone else was better. You lost it because someone else was known and trusted more.


Visibility is the entry point. It is built by being present in the right conversations, with the right people, consistently enough that your name naturally surfaces when your expertise is needed. Without it, nothing else gets the chance to work in your favour.



Your name came up, then someone paused.


They know you, they trust you as a person. The organisation you represent, however, does not quite hold up to the reputation you have built personally. The brand positioning is unclear, the marketing sends a different message, and what the organisation communicates does not reflect what you bring.


There is a gap between what people expect from you and what they see from the organisation behind you. That gap creates hesitation, and hesitation is enough for the opportunity to go elsewhere.
